Dr. Christiane El Jarbi (M.Sc.)
Project Manager

Studied nutritional sciences at the Christian-Albrechts-University (CAU) in Kiel (graduated M.Sc.); Phd in the field of food economics at the CAU; has been working in pharmaceutical market research since 2011; project manager with KDA since 2013.

Wide knowledge in the field of neuropathies, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes and many oncological indications. Particular interest in usability studies with patients and healthcare professionals, as well as development and validation of QoL-questionnaires for therapy improvement.

Dipl.-Soz. Roman Farnbacher
Field Manager

Studied sociology (Minors: psychology & pedagogy) with focus on empirical social research/statistics/economy & labour at Philipps University of Marburg; since 2012 working in the field of personnel consultancy and pharmaceutical market research.

Tasks at KDA:

Organisation and coordination of field activities, and management of sub-projects.

Dipl.-Soz. Karin Grimm
Managing Director and Partner

Studied sociology and social psychology at Mannheim University; worked for different companies in the field of pharmaceutical market and consumer research since 1983; co-founded KDA Marktforschung GmbH. Member of Berufsverband Deutscher Markt-und Sozialforscher e.V. (BVM), the European Society for Opinion and Market Research (ESOMAR) as well as Berufsverband der Deutschen Usability und User Experience Professionals (German UPA).

Silke Hoffmann
Project Manager

Studied German language, psychology, law at Darmstadt Technical University; worked since 1994 for different companies in the area of political research, consumer research and pharmaceutical market research; KDA employee since 2008. Areas of specialisation are diabetes, neurology, women’s health, oncology and, especially, implementation of usability studies for medical devices with patients and healthcare professionals.

Dipl.-Psych. Thomas Jahnke
Deputy Managing Director (ppa.) | Project Manager

Studied psychology at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-University of Greifswald and at the Technische Universität Darmstadt with a focus on operational, organisational, social and work psychology. Worked since 2000 in several companies in the field of pharmaceutical research, B2B, automotive and consumer market research.

Project Manager at KDA since 2007. Has held power of attorney and deputy managing director position since 2011. Is also a qualified trainer and coach. Has a strong interest in and understanding of difficult and complex indications, such neurological, genetic and oncological diseases, and is also focused on human factor design research and usability engineering. Thomas became a PROFESSIONAL MEMBER of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) in 2015.

Tamara Kühn (B.A.)
Junior Research Manager

Studied sociology with political science at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main (B. A.). Has been working in medical market research since 2016 and is Junior Research Manager at KDA since April 2017.

Particular expertise in socio-scientific methodology, oncology, diabetes as well as Patient Reported Outcomes.

Specifically interested in moderating in-depth interviews and usability studies for medical devices with patients and healthcare professionals.

Klaus Rathgeber (M.A.)
Project Manager

Studied English at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and obtained an M.A. from the University of Birmingham; has worked in market research since 1999; project manager at KDA since 2003; Data Protection Officer of the company since 2013.Excellent knowledge in moderation of group discussions, as well as mini-group, triad, duo and in-depth interviews; expertise in all interviewing techniques (ex. projective procedures, laddering, role play, etc.).Additional focus on the execution of usability studies for medical devices.
